While Call of Duty: Warzone barely welcomes its 5th season, leaks suggest its successor will be bloodier

Will Call of Duty: Warzone 2 be much more violent than the current one?

Since August 24th, Call of Duty: Warzone players have welcomed Season 5 called Last Stand , which will end not only the battle royale, but also Sledgehammer Games’ FPS Call of Duty: Vanguard .

However, despite the end of Warzone, we will be entitled in the coming weeks to a new battle royale, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and there are rumors that on September 15 we will be able to witness more about the game. Don’t want to wait to find out more? No problem, as we have enough to feed your curiosity through some information that reports a game much more violent than the first.

Warzone 2 won’t be so smooth

The ESRB, the American organization responsible for rating different video games on various criteria, has rated Call of Duty: Warzone 2 as “Mature +17” in the United States, which is equivalent to a +18 here in Brazil. So far, nothing really surprising. Where things get more interesting is that we have confirmed the existence of the DMZ and yet according to the ESRB this mode would be more violent than ever before, both graphically and verbally.

Players use machine guns, shotguns, sniper rifles and explosives to kill enemy soldiers in frantic combat. Battles are highlighted with realistic gunfire, screams of pain, blood spatter effects and explosions. A handful of weapons/attacks result in decapitation/dismemberment. The finishing moves sometimes depict dramatic jabs and headshots, with close-up gore and gore effects. The game contains emblems/banners with illustrations of marijuana leaves and/or smoking characters. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” appear in the game.

Here, unlike Call of Duty: Warzone, we should be dealing with a much more realistic battle royale in graphic violence, with explosions of skulls after shotgun fire, decapitations or even dismemberment caused by grenade explosions.

If this was not stated or specified, it is unclear whether the DMZ will be part of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 or if it will be integrated into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 . The line between the two seems almost non-existent, but we’ll know on September 15th when we’ll know more about these ganes, as well as Warzone Mobile.
